BUGATTI VEYRON GRAND SPORT VITESSE (Side Profile)
Beyond the Surface: The Art of X-rays is a groundbreaking collaboration series between Bugatti, Amalgam Collection and Los Angeles based photographer Andrei Duman. Featuring iconic models, each representing the marque’s legacy of innovation, craftsmanship, and prestige, Andrei was able to meticulously capture them in multiple, precisely chosen sections using cutting-edge imaging technology. Using the world’s largest camera sensor (151 mega pixels) and most expensive camera system and separately with the latest X-ray equipment, the models are presented in a truly new and unique fashion.
In the summer of 2025 a full-scale interactive exhibit, with high-definition projections of Andrei Duman’s Beyond the Surface: The Art of X-rays photographic series is scheduled to open at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Illinois, USA. One of the rooms will feature a selection of unique items from the Museum’s collection which have never been X-rayed before. The largest of the exhibition rooms will showcase the above partnership between Bugatti, Amalgam Collection and Andrei Duman, dedicated to presenting 1:8 scale Bugatti model cars showcasing the rich history and racing DNA of the exclusive car brand. The X-ray and photography will accompany the surrounding walls in an innovative and interactive choreographed presentation.
Each print is produced by hand on museum-grade Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic, one of the world’s most exclusive and expensive fine art papers, renowned for its luminous metallic base and archival longevity exceeding 200 years. Every artwork is carefully reviewed, hand-signed by the artist, and accompanied by a custom certificate of authenticity, ensuring its place as a truly collectible object of design.
Andrei Duman is an award winning photographer/creative from Los Angeles. Highly technical and with a fanatical approach to composition, color and execution, he is best known for his unwavering attention to detail and unique approach to each subject and project.
